Sales of Condominiums in Kitchener Waterloo lead the market in August 2009 with 132 units sold. This represents a 67% increase over August 2008. In all, 594 residential units sold for an increase of 16% over the same month last year.
In Cambridge, house sales increased by 17.6% over August 2008 with 240 residential units sold.
In both the Cambridge and Kitchener / Waterloo areas, August was the fourth month in a row that experienced increased sales over the same months last year. In both areas, while the number of sales was up, the average selling price was down slightly from last year by approximately 4%.
With low financing rates, this is a great time to buy. For homeowners with equity in their home, it's a great time to sell and move up to their next home.
