The Real Estate Investment Network (REIN), a national independent research company, has released a 108 page report entitled Top Ontario Investment Towns that analyzes current and future trends in real estate investing in Ontario. The report states that the recent correction in the real estate market provides good buying opportunities for home owners and investors in certain areas of the province.
The cities of Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo (collectively known as Canada's Technology Triangle) were named as the best place in Ontario to invest in real estate. This is not the first time that Canada's Technology Triangle has been recognized. In the past, REIN has called the area "the Economic Alberta Of Ontario". A strong and diverse economy, along with multiple post-secondary learning institutions and favourable location make this an ideal area in which to invest. Within a 24 hour drive, 60% of Canada's population and 40% of the US population can be accessed.
